I began my teaching career as a Title I reading teacher many years ago at
East Kingston Elementary School, back when it was literally a four room
building, and two additional classes were housed in what is now the East
Kingston Town Hall because there was no room. How things have changed! I spent 5
years teaching third grade in Hampton, then substituted in SAU 16 for 8 years
teaching in every grade level when my children were young. I consider myself
very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to return to East Kingston and
teach third grade, my very favorite grade level.
I have been on the Math Curriculum Committee for the past three years and just started with the Social Studies Curriculum Committee. I am on the Exeter High School Field Hockey and Girls’ Lacrosse Booster Club Boards. I have also been involved with the EHS Junior Prom committees for the classes of 2002 and 2004, and EHS Project Prom/Project Graduation for the class of 2002. I have enjoyed working on theater projects, both at East Kingston elementary and CMS.
My second love is sports. I coach field hockey and lacrosse at the Cooperative Middle School in Exeter and organize the Exeter Middle and High School Indoor Field Hockey Program. I am a USFHA Futures coach and I coach a U14 team for Seacoast United Field Hockey. I am a member of the board for Seacoast United Field Hockey. At EKES I run an introductory field hockey program for grades 2-5 in the springtime, and coach field hockey and lacrosse at a summer camp at Belmont Hill.
I live in East Kingston with my husband, Chuck and our two terrific daughters, Sarah and Suzanne. I am a graduate of Exeter High School, and having spent most of my life here, find this area to be a very exciting place to be.
