Ms. Janice Huss

I grew up near Albany, NY. In 1975, I graduated from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry with a degree in Forest Botany. I came to NH after I graduated to work for the USDA Forest Service, doing research in Forest Pathology. I was married in 1976. Three years later, when my first child was born, I decided to stay at home with my children. This I did for the next 12 years. I began working at EKES in 1990 when my youngest child entered first grade.
When I first came to work at EKES, I was the Title One reading tutor for five years. Since then, I have been a classroom assistant at the Primary level, having worked in the first, second and multiage (1st/2nd) classrooms. I love working at EKES because the children and staff are so wonderful.

I now live in Brentwood with my husband, Mark, and three children: Andrew, age 22; Katherine, age 20 and Daniel, age 18. My hobbies include reading, sewing and gardening. I am always busy with at-home projects and church-related activities. I love to swim in the ocean and climb mountains!
