My
name is Deb Simmons. I received a BA degree from Mt. St. Mary College, majoring
in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading. My first teaching
assignments were at Westside Catholic Regional School in Manchester and St.
Patrick School in Portsmouth. I have also operated a licensed family day care in
Plymouth, Massachusetts. While raising my family, I taught English for the
Plymouth-Carver Adult Education Program to those seeking high school diplomas.
After relocating to East Kingston, I again taught adult education for the Exeter
Adult Education Program. There I provided instruction in English and Social
Studies to those earning high school equivalency. I then worked at East Kingston
Elementary School as a teaching assistant in grades one and two. I assumed two
long term substitute positions in grades one and two at D.J. Bakie School in
Kingston, NH. I was then hired by the Sanborn School District for a full time
third grade position. I am presently happy to be back at East Kingston
Elementary as a third grade teacher. The school is a wonderful place to be
everyday! I enjoy living in East Kingston with my husband, Bob and three
daughters Lindsay, Kate and Sarah, who are all graduates of East Kingston
Elementary.
