Safety, Cleanliness, and Adequacy of School Facilities

East Kingston Elementary School is committed to providing a safe and clean environment for learning.  The school has an emergency preparedness plan that calls for regular fire and emergency drills.  Planning for various potential emergencies is coordinated with the school's Emergency Management Committee with local and regional agencies. The district participates regularly in regionally coordinated Seabrook drills.

Specific safety concerns regarding buildings and grounds at the school site are handled by the principal and maintenance coordinator, however the S.A.U. 16 maintenance department is available for assistance when needed. Our maintenance staff includes one full time maintenance coordinator and a part-time evening custodian.
