The Community of East Kingston

The town of East Kingston, population, 2,107 (2004), is situated in Rockingham County in the Southeast corner of the state of New Hampshire.  Once a part of Kingston, East Kingston was granted a separate charter in 1738.  Of course, New Hampshire was part of Massachusetts at that time.  Minutes to downtown Exeter, NH and the seacoast, and less than an hour to the city of Boston, this small rural community is ideal for commuting, outdoor recreation and quiet country living.  The town and school district budgets are still voted on annually using the traditional town meeting format where decisions are made by a show of hands.
